Five Iron Golf
Why not take your dad or the father figure in your life somewhere unique to celebrate the holiday? Five Iron Golf recently opened up in Fishtown, and the space is outfitted with 10 simulators, a putting green, a custom club fitting arm outfitted by The Fitting Lab, men’s and women’s locker rooms, as well as a full-sized bar and kitchen.
As a release states, the venue is equipped with TrackMan golf technology which helps map key data parameters (meaning ball speed, attack angle, club path, face angle, etc.) The technology also features motion-capture built-in HD video cameras for additional and visual real-time golf swing feedback. Participants can sort through over 150 courses available to play such as The Old Course, Liberty National, and Pebble Beach while trying your skills on 40 current and past PGA Tour venues.

The distillery’s Pottstown location will be celebrating Father’s Day in Philadelphia on June 19 with Grumpy’s Sandwiches catering a special brunch from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Menu items include Captain Crunch French Toast, a Meat Lover’s Fritatta, Whiskey BBQ Pulled Pork, Whiskey Glazed Chocolate Covered Bacon, $9 Bloody Marys, and much more. New Liberty Distillery
The craft distillery in South Kensington is celebrating the holiday by hosting “Take Your Dad to the Distillery Day” on Sunday, June 19. While there, guests will have the opportunity to explore the whiskey-making process from distilling to aging, including custom whiskey tastings. Three timeslots are available, with the first starting at noon, and standard tickets come out to be $25 per person.
Admission includes a customized whiskey tasting, tour of the New Liberty copper pot still, and a look (and taste) of the barrel aging process. Full experience tickets are $65 per person and also include a full-size bottle of Kinsey with a custom label.

At Iron Hill, there will be a few opportunities to celebrate Father’s Day in Philadelphia. According to a release, From June 17-19, Iron Hill is celebrating Dad with a limited special menu including Louisiana BBQ Shrimp, Caribbean Spiced Swordfish, Char-grilled Ribeye, and a Mixed Berry Shortcake to finish on a sweet note. Iron Hill is also running a gift card promotion for the month until June 19th, where all $50 e-gift card purchases will receive a complimentary $10 e-gift card.

Wm. Mulherin’s Sons
Wm will be celebrating Father’s Day in Philadelphia by adding on two hearty specials for brunch with Dad in mind, on top of their normal offerings. First up, the Steak & Eggs features a dry aged NY strip steak, fried hen eggs, tobacco onions and the hyper seasonal ramp butter. The Porchetta Sandwich on the other hand is served on an English muffin with long hot aioli, a runny egg and provolone cheese with crispy breakfast potatoes.
Lastly, a “Bar Snacks” cocktail (featuring Bourbon, Don Ciccio Nocino Amaro, Frangelico, Fresno chili, and bitters) will also be available to celebrate. Dinner will also be served from 5pm – 9pm, and reservations are recommended and available via Resy for indoor seating, as well as at their outdoor Garden Patio and Streetery.

Crooked Hammock
All three of Crooked Hammock’s locations (two of which are in Delaware) will be celebrating Father’s Day with a beer release and a stand-up comedy competition. The new release (available June 16), titled Dadventure is officially described as a hazy IPA designed for dads and meant to be sipped in the sunshine at an easy-going pace.
The 7% ABV drink is made with pillowy oats along with Sabro hops in the whirlpool before getting dry-hopped with Idaho 7 and Galaxy. The Open Mic night on the other hand is open for anyone to test out their best dad jokes in the hopes of winning a portable grill. The competition at all three locations will take place on June 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.
