Animal and beer lovers are invited to go wild for craft beer, cider and hard seltzer at the Philadelphia Zoo’s Summer Ale Fest. There will be more than 100 selections pouring from over 65 local, regional and national breweries during the event, slated for Saturday, July 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. This event also features private zoo access after-hours, live entertainment, lite bites from Philly’s top food trucks (available for purchase) and, of course, majestic animals from around the globe.

“We are thrilled to bring back Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival, one of the zoo’s most popular and exciting events of the year,” says Philadelphia Zoo Chief Marketing and Experience Officer Amy Shearer in a statement. “Summer Ale Fest the perfect occasion for the 21+ crowd to spend a beautiful evening outdoors, enjoying a delicious craft brew and food, listening to music, seeing animals and making lifelong memories.”

An early list of participating breweries includes favorites like Cape May Brewing Company, Dock Street, Evil Genius Beer Company, Yards Brewing Company and Chestnut Hill Brewing Company, among many, many others. Philadelphians and visitors can also enjoy delicious food trucks on site, including Deke’s Food Truck, The Little Sicilian, Mi Pueblito Tacos and Philly Hots, to name a few.

The Summer Ale Fest will raise money to support the zoo’s mission to create joyful discovery, and inspire action for animals and habitats. Tickets are now on sale for $85 for early access admission, $65 for general admission and $35 for non-drinker admission. Summer Ale Fest is limited to those 21 or older with valid identification and the event will be held rain or shine.
