Seven in a row has been a nice distraction from the Atlanta Braves. While the Phillies have been riding high, our friends down South have won eight straight themselves.

It sounds funny to say today’s upcoming series against the Arizona Diamondbacks is very important, but looking at the Wildcard standings tells you everything you need to know.
The Phillies are 2.5 back from the Braves and just a game ahead of the Diamondbacks. A rough series could even have the Phils falling behind the Miami Marlins. That’s where we are.
Now you need to keep your eyes on your own paper, but necessary to note that recent success doesn’t belong to South Philly.

Zac Gallen (4-1, 2.40 ERA) v. Kyle Gibson (3-2, 4.40 ERA)
Gallen’s enjoying quite the year. If the Phillies want to get him, the fourth inning is their best bet, where he’s seemingly struggled the most, surrendering a .821 OPS. Keep your eye on that.
Gibson’s had a similar issue. He’s had little problem getting through the lineup the first time, but on the second go-around, opposing batters are hitting .356 against the veteran.
The Phillies need GibSwon to calm down and join the party, but today may not be the day.

Daily Fantasy Pick of the Day
I’m not usually one to chase points but let’s ride Didi Gregorius, who’s just $2,600 on FanDuel. Gregor the Great was just a homer shy of the cycle in yesterday’s duel with the Brewers.
Since returning, primarily due to yesterday, Gregorius is stroking .385. Great value.

Phillies vs. Brewers Betting information
The Phillies hit Friday as favorites at home, but I really like over 8.5 runs.
The Phils have averaged 7.57 runs per game in June alone. The Diamondbacks are averaging around 3.63, but that should be enough for some fireworks. Hammer.
