Quite an end to June. The pathetic Braves fall again to the Phillies. That would be a great headline if accurate, but one game doesn’t win a series.
The Atlanta Braves won’t stop being a problem. I think you would take it if I told you a week ago that the Phils would score 18 runs against the Braves.
Ultimately, the Phillies were lucky they escaped that series with a positive run differential (look it up).
Every Batman needs a Joker, so one can only assume that Brave’s contribution shines favorably on Broad Street.
I guess that would also make the Mets Bane, which would also make the Cardinals Danny Devito. I can’t wait to go back to DC.

Miles Mikolas (5-5, 2.57 ERA) vs. Bailey Falter (0-2, 4.50 ERA)
Falter has officially been thrown into action. As much as I love his sweet hair, the Trade Deadline approaches, and the Phillies must have other options. Alas, for another day.
Something weird about Falter is that he’s seemed to benefit from Phillies’ defense. While his ERA sits at 4.50, his FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) is 6.13. Without much research, I can almost guarantee this is one case where the team with 39 errors (15th in the MLB) is helping their pitcher.
Milokas is not dissimilar. His shiny 2.57 ERA is almost a whole point lower than his 3.34 FIP. I’m not sure how you make a team field poorly but let’s all say a prayer.
Phillies Daily Fantasy Pick of the Day
I don’t talk about him much for several reasons, but our pick today is Odúbel Herrera. Now Herrera has two hits in the last two weeks, suitable for a 0.63 batting average. That said, he’s had success against Mikolas.
In five at-bats, the former Rule Five Draftee has hit a homer! The turnaround must begin at some point; I believe it’s today.
Worth a flier at $2,200.
